Sachin has given information about registering the case through social media.
Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday filed a case of cheating with the cyber cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch. He has alleged in his complaint that his name, photo and voice have been used in fake advertisements running on the internet.
The Crime Branch has registered a case under sections 420, 465 and 500 of the IPC in this matter. This includes cheating, forgery and relevant sections of the IT Act. Following Sachin’s complaint, the cyber cell of Mumbai Police has started an investigation.
Sachin’s name, photo and voice in fake advertisement
According to media reports, this complaint has been lodged by his personal assistant on behalf of Tendulkar. The complaint said that Sachin’s name, photo and voice have been used in a fake advertisement running on the internet. Along with this, it was written below in the advertisement that the product has been recommended by Sachin himself. People are being cheated through this. Sachin has given this information through social media.
This is not the first case with Sachin
This is not the first case of misuse of Sachin’s photo. Earlier last year, a casino named Big Daddy’s in Goa had used Sachin’s photo on social media platforms for their promotions without taking his permission. Sachin had also given his information through social media.
