As per earlier reports, the outer display could measure 3.4-inch and include a side cutout for the dual cameras, which would make it slightly smaller than the 3.6-inch outer display of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra – another recently released flip phone. , The inner, folding display is expected to be a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate – reminiscent of the outgoing Galaxy Z Flip 4.

For optics, the phone is expected to feature a dual camera setup – one wide and one ultrawide lens. And for selfies, a camera will be housed inside a hole punch cutout on the main internal display.

The Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are also rumored to have a new ‘water drop’ hinge mechanism that could help Samsung reduce the crease. Furthermore, it is highly likely that Samsung will use the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, for its fifth-generation foldable lineup.

Samsung is also expected to launch its next-generation Galaxy Watch — including the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro and vanilla Galaxy Watch 6 as well as the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro — at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26.
