New renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 have been leaked revealing the colours, features and camera details. Here’s what we do know.
Samsung’s official Galaxy Unpacked event is all set to happen in India later this month, on July 26. At the event, the South Korean tech giant is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 foldable phones, a new Galaxy Watch, and new earbuds. Now, ahead of the launch, official renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 have been leaked.
Prominent tipster and leaker Evan Blass shared the leak Presents This suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 may come with a larger outer display, as suggested by earlier reports as well. As per earlier reports, the outer display could measure 3.4-inch and include a side cutout for the dual cameras, which would make it slightly smaller than the 3.6-inch outer display of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra – another recently released flip phone. , The inner, folding display is expected to be a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate – reminiscent of the outgoing Galaxy Z Flip 4.
For optics, the phone is expected to feature a dual camera setup – one wide and one ultrawide lens. And for selfies, a camera will be housed inside a hole punch cutout on the main internal display.
The Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are also rumored to have a new ‘water drop’ hinge mechanism that could help Samsung reduce the crease. Furthermore, it is highly likely that Samsung will use the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, for its fifth-generation foldable lineup.
Samsung is also expected to launch its next-generation Galaxy Watch — including the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro and vanilla Galaxy Watch 6 as well as the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro — at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26.
