Prayagraj: Former president of Allahabad University Student Union (AUSU) Richa Singh has lodged an FIR against Manish Gagan Agrawal, the official X (formerly Twitter) handler of Samajwadi Party, for posting objectionable messages against her. The case has been registered under section 509 of the IPC (intending to insult the modesty of a woman, utters any word, make any sound or gesture or exhibits any object) and section 67 of Information Technology act at Shivkuti police station. She has accused Agrawal of using derogatory remarks like Suparnakha and Kachra, Kura for her.
This was the second FIR lodged by Singh against the SP official twitter handler within five days.
She alleged that Agrawal had used derogatory language against women via X post on August 18.
In her FIR, Singh also detailed that after having lodged an FIR against Agrawal on August 17 for his obscene remarks and threats aimed at her, he once again resorted to objectionable comments concerning women in a post on August 18.
