The chief minister’s discussions with NEC officials were about AI-facial recognition, quantum computing purposes and possibly using such technology in the Tamil Nadu government and administration of public utilities.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday visited technology firm NEC Future Creation Hub in Japan and interacted with officials on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used in state government administration.
An official release here said the chief minister’s talks with NEC officials were about AI-facial recognition, quantum computing purposes and possibly using such technology in the Tamil Nadu government and administration of public utilities.
The release said the officials briefed Stalin about NEC’s technology-driven solutions in various areas including stress-free travel for air travellers.
Senior officials including Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Raja and Additional Chief Secretary S Krishnan were present.
On May 23, the Chief Minister embarked on a visit to Singapore and Japan to attract investments and invite investors to the Global Investors Meet to be held here in January 2024.
