Dumka police has revealed the murder case of Suresh Murmu, head of Badet Panchayat, near Jalve village of Hansdiha police station area. Five people, including the betel nut killer, have been arrested in this case. This includes 2 female accused. Police have seized a motorcycle and 6 mobiles, along with the pistol used in the murder, with empty cartridges.
Dumka police has solved the murder case within 72 hours. In the Mukhiya murder case, the police have arrested 5 accused including Hansdiha Mukhiya. Police said that a chieftain had conspired to remove the rival from the road due to mutual enmity and land dispute. In fact, to avenge the defeat of his mother i.e. the former headman, the accused, along with a teacher, got Murmu murdered by giving him a betel nut of five lakh rupees.
On April 18, near Jalve village under Hansdiha police station area of Dumka district, the case of murder of village head Suresh Murmu came to light. Out of a total of seven accused in this case, the police had arrested five accused including one present chief, while two are absconding.
Dead body sent to Dumka for postmortem

He told during interrogation that Hansdiha Panchayat head Asha Hembram had already been accused of Panchayat head Suresh Murmu for the contract for construction work, Asha Hembram’s mother Talko Soren’s defeat in the Panchayat elections and Suresh Murmu’s opposition in the land dispute. There was estrangement because of helping.
In Hansdiha Panchayat, their supremacy was decreasing due to opposition by joining the supporters of Asha Hembram. Because of this, these people got the current chief Suresh Murmu murdered by giving a betel nut of five lakh rupees to Rahul Kumar Verma of Hansdiha Chowk and his associates.
1 lakh spent on buying weapons
As an advance, the killers were given one lakh rupees by Asha Hembram, head of Hansdiha Panchayat, which Rahul Kumar Verma spent on buying weapons and giving them to other associates. The pistol used in the incident has also been recovered at the instance of the accused. The police arrested professional killer Santosh Prasad Yadav, a resident of Pagwara village in Godda, Asha Hembram, head of Hansdiha, Taloko Soren, former head of rival Jalve village, Rohit Kumar, para teacher of Pagwara, Rahul Kumar of Kushamaha village under Amarpur police station area, and Nirmal Kumar Verma.
