Karnataka Assembly Speaker UT Khadar along with Deputy Speaker Rudrappa Lamani and Assembly Secretary MK Vishalakshi met Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Thursday and reportedly apprised him of the circumstances that led to the suspension of 10 BJP MLAs till the end of the session.

The BJP as well as the JD(S) boycotted the proceedings on Thursday in protest against the suspension.
When the proceedings began this morning, only G Janardhana Reddy (Kalyana Rajya Pragati Paksha (KRPP)) was present in the House from the opposition.
The BJP MLAs decided to meet the Governor and hand over the memorandum.
