Centre’s work culture, vision made these achievements possible: Modi
The government’s work culture and vision have made its achievements possible, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 5,200 crore in Chennai on Saturday. His government works with deadlines and gets results before the last date.
Addressing a public meeting, Modi said two things made the government’s achievements possible – work culture and approach. Earlier, infrastructure projects meant delay, now they mean delivery. The journey from delay to delivery has happened because of our work culture. We feel accountable for every rupee of our taxpayers. We work with specific deadlines and get results well before them.
Modi said, our government does not see infrastructure as concrete, brick and cement but with a human face that connects aspirations to achievements. Infrastructure connects aspirations to achievements, people to possibilities and dreams to reality. It is a time for new hopes, new aspirations and new beginnings. Some of the new generation infrastructure projects will start serving the people from today.
Modi said, in the last few years, India is witnessing a revolution in terms of infrastructure. It is driven by speed and scale. When it comes to scale, you can look at the Union Budget!
Development of Tamil Nadu is our priority
Modi said, Tamil Nadu’s development is our priority. Tamil Nadu’s long coastline is very important for trade. Today, the capacity addition of our ports has almost doubled as compared to the pre-2014 era.
This change came in the pace of implementation of development projects in the country after 2014
Modi pointed out how the pace of implementation of developmental projects in the country changed after the NDA government came to power in 2014. He said, compared to before 2014, the length of national highways built in the country has almost doubled every year. Before 2014, every year, 600 route km of rail lines were electrified, today the rate is reaching nearly 4,000 route km! Till 2014, there were only 74 airports in the country, but after 2014 the number is around 150.
