They have been identified as Rajendra Singh alias Raju (39) and Buta Singh (30), both residents of Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.
The two were caught with 4,417 fake notes of Rs 500 denomination, with a total value of over Rs 22 lakh, as well as 18 one-sided fake Rs 500 notes.
They took the police to a public service center in the Bhogpur village area of Bijnor, where counterfeit equipment including a Lenovo monitor, an HP printer, a mini CPU, a data cable and a paper cutter were found.
The team also recovered 100 sheets of paper rims, two fake notes printed on one side and 12 notes without serial number printed on one side.
He confessed to printing fake currency using the equipment and selling fake currency in several districts including Bijnor and Rampur.
