Verdict will come today in Haryana’s famous air hostess Geetika suicide case. The Rouse Avenue Court will pronounce its verdict today in the rape case against Gopal Kanda, Haryana’s former Minister of State for Home Affairs and currently Haryana Lokhit Party (Hlopa) MLA from Sirsa. Gopal Kanda has reached the court. The court decided to pronounce the verdict on July 25.

Gopal Kanda of Sirsa is the main accused in this case, while Aruna Chadha, who was a senior manager in MDLR company, is also an accused. Kanda has spent 18 months in jail in this case. On the other hand, the decision of the court will decide the political future of MLA Gopal Kanda, if he is convicted then he may lose his post as MLA.

1. Gopal Kanda became a leader from a shoe shop
Gopal Kanda had a small radio repair shop in Sirsa. Kanda expanded it and opened a footwear shop. When the shop started running, he opened a shoe factory. After this, he started making an identity in politics. Kanda also started doing real estate business.

2. Airlines company opened in father’s name
Gopal Kanda then started MDLR Airlines in 2008 from Gurgaon in the name of father Muralidhar Lekha Ram. However, later it was closed due to some controversy. During this, about 40 other companies of Kanda continued to run.

3. Started recruiting girls
Gopal Kanda started recruiting girls in these companies. Started giving big positions to young girls. Delhi girl Geetika was also included in these. Geetika was given the appointment letter of the cabin crew directly after the first interview. When Geetika turned 18 after 6 months, she was made an airhostess.

4. Geetika became director from trainee in 3 years
After this Geetika progressed so fast that in 3 years she became a director in Gopal Kanda’s company from trainee. Gopal Kanda is believed to be behind this. However, when something suddenly happened between the two, Geetika left Kanda’s company. He started working in Dubai. Suddenly he was forced to come to Delhi.

Geetika left a suicide note
Geetika Sharma committed suicide on 5 August 2012 at her home in Ashok Vihar, Delhi. He had put a noose around his neck. Police found a suicide note from Geetika’s house. In which he held Gopal Kanda and MDLR manager Aruna Chadha responsible for the suicide. Geetika wrote that I am killing myself. My faith is broken. I was cheated. Gopal Kanda and Aruna Chadha broke my trust.

Kanda had to leave the chair after the case was registered
Gopal Kanda, an accused in the Geetika suicide case, was then a minister in the Congress government headed by Haryana CM Bhupinder Hooda. Gopal Kanda supported the Hooda government along with independents. In return, he got the post of Minister of State for Home in the Hooda government. After being named in the Geetika suicide case, Gopal had to leave his ministerial post and had to stay in Tihar Jail.

Gopal Kanda is now supporting the BJP government
Halopa MLA from Sirsa, Gopal Kanda is currently extending his support to the BJP-JJP government of Haryana. His brother Govind Kanda is in the BJP and has contested the by-election from Ellenabad on a party ticket. Gopal Kanda’s Halopa is included in the NDA alliance.
