The incident has sparked a heated debate about concert etiquette. Commenting on the video, a user wrote, “I hate that people keep doing this!! He shows so much respect and kindness to everyone and he gets reciprocated like this!”
Another user wrote, “Horrible behaviour, people need to be more respectful and even though it was not the intention it obviously hurt her and is unacceptable.”
A third user commented, “Whoever you are, just know that I don’t care if it was by mistake or on purpose… you don’t deserve that.”
“This person must have been close enough to her to throw and hit her, so they waited all day and possibly camped out to hurt her?! If people didn’t stop, the celebs would stop performing live and the audience would walk away from them Will do, commented the fourth user.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time the singer has been targeted. In 2022, he was hurt by Skittles thrown at him during a Los Angeles concert.
Previously, other artists including Drake, Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini and Ava Max have been hit by objects while performing on stage.
