TMC’s taunt on PM Modi: The Trinamool Congress on Saturday (July 1) branded Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the leader of the ‘biggest opposition parties’, adding that his party (BJP) is committed to nurturing democracy, preserving federalism and controlling prices. is ‘opposed’ to doing.
PM Modi launched a scathing attack on the opposition parties during his rally in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh today.
“Social media posts of those (opposition parties) who want to come together are going viral these days. These opposition parties are uniting only to promote dynastic politics,” the prime minister said at the rally, referring to the opposition meeting in Patna on June 23.

Hitting back at PM Modi, TMC MP Derek O’Brien said they are not an ‘opposition party’ and BJP is the ‘biggest opposition party’.
“These are not the ‘Opposition Party’, Mr. Prime Minister! It is you who is leading the biggest ‘Opposition Party’. Your party opposes giving jobs to the youth. Opposes nurturing democracy. Opposes maintaining federalism. Opposes controlling prices,” he tweeted.
Opposition meeting in Patna
Its top leaders, including the BJP, are questioning the opposition over a grand meeting at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s residence in Patna.
More than 15 political parties participated in the meeting to chalk out a strategy to oust the BJP government at the Center in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Several parties including Congress, AAP, NCP, SP, Shiv Sena (UBT), PDP, NC participated in the meeting. The next meeting of the opposition to be held in Shimla will now be held in Bengaluru on 13 and 14 July.
