Five new cases of COVID-19 — four in Tiruchi and one in Nagapattinam — were reported in central districts on Saturday, according to a bulletin issued by the state health department.
Of the 33 active cases from persons receiving home and hospital treatment, Tiruchy district had the highest number of 16 cases. Nagapattinam recorded six active cases, while Tiruvarur had five. Karur reported four active cases, followed by Mayiladuthurai with two cases.
