1.33 Crore Perform ‘Surya Namaskar’ in Rajasthan, Break World Record | Jaipur News – Times of India

JAIPUR: Over 1.33 individuals, including students set a new world record by participating in a ‘surya namaskar‘ event conducted on Thursday across government and non-government schools in Rajasthan.
The Rajasthan Edition of the World Book of Records, London, has officially acknowledged the world record achievement.
Education Minister Madan Dilawar was presented the provisional certificate of the record by Pratham Bhalla, vice president (Rajasthan), World Book of Records, London, an official statement said.
Dilawar expressed joy regarding this “special achievement” and expressed his gratitude to the students, educators, parents, public figures, institution leaders and members of various societal groups involved in ensuring the success of the event.
He appreciated the collective endeavors of the entire team within the School Education Department. Naveen Jain, Secretary of the School Education Department, highlighted that ‘surya namaskar’ was performed synchronously across all government and non-government schools throughout the entire state on Thursday, from 10:30 am to 11 am.
During the event, ‘surya namaskar’ was practiced by over 1.14 crore students from 88,974 schools. Overall, the participation tally exceeded 1.33 crore individuals, both students and others.
