Surat: A 28-year-old man died and two others suffered injuries in an accident in Sachin GIDC area on Friday when a bus knocked their motorcycle.
In another accident, a 16-year-old girl suffered severe head injuries after being knocked down by a bus in Sarthana area on Friday.
In the first incident, Shivpratap Sonekar, a resident of Navsari, was going on his motorcycle with two workers — Kichpa Dawra and Kumar Dawra.They were going towards Rameshwar Colony in Sachin GIDC area when a bus hit their motorcycle. Kichpa and Kumar suffered injuries while Sonekar died. Kichpa and Kumar were admitted to a hospital.
In the second accident, Rupali Sahu, a resident of Laskana, suffered severe head injuries after being knocked by a bus. She was crossing the road near Diamond Nagar BRTS bus stop when a BRTS bus knocked her down. Her head hit the road causing serious injuries. Doctors found that she had suffered brain haemorrhage.
Police registered complaints against the bus drivers in both the cases and started investigation. tnn

School bus driver dies of heart attack
A school bus driver in Indore, Dwarka Prasad Vajpayee, suffered a heart attack and died while ferrying students. The incident took place on his way to drop the students from Kasera Bazar Vidya Niketan school. The female helper witnessed the driver’s discomfort and called for help. Vajpayee, who had previously experienced chest pain, was declared dead at the district hospital.
