2 Bikers Crash Into Each Other While Trying to Avoid a Dog | Gurgaon News – Times of India

GURGAON: Two private firm staffers died when their bikes collided head-on with each other while trying to avoid hitting a stray dog in Karnki near Nimoth police outpost on Monday afternoon. cops said.
The pillion riders suffered severe injuries and are undergoing treatment, police said. A case has been registered at Sadar Sohna police station and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
The accident happened at 1.30pm. “The accident occurred when the bike riders tried to avoid a stray dog that suddenly ran onto the road, which caused the riders to lose control and their bikes collided,” said Kiran Pal, Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI), Nimoth police post.
The deceased have been identified as, Arjun (27) a private worker from Ghalib village, Uttar Pradesh, and Nadeem (19) a private employee from Karnki Kherla village near Sohna.
Alerted by the locals, police reached the spot and shifted the bodies for postmortem. “Arjun and Nadeem died on the spot with severe injuries. Arjun’s brother Sunil, and Nadeem’s friend Parvez suffered injuries. They are undergoing treatment at a local hospital and Sunil’s condition is critical,” the ASI said.
According to police, Arjun and Sunil were staying at Badshahpur in Gurgaon and when the accident happened, they were en route to Agra to attend a relative’s wedding ceremony. While Nadeem and his friend Parvez were going to Sohna from Karnki Kherla for some personal work.
A preliminary probe revealed that everyone, except Arjun, involved in the accident was not wearing helmets. A case was registered under section 304A (causing death due to rash or negligent act) 337 (causing injuries due to rash or negligent act) and 279 (rash driving on a public way) of the IPC.
