Mangaluru: Following a tip-off, Kadaba police have charged two persons for illegal slaughter of cattle at a residence in Kemmara, Kadaba, on Thursday. Kadaba police, under the guidance of PSI Abhinandan MS, raided the location after receiving information about unauthorised cow slaughter taking place. It is alleged that Ilyas and Mahammed were engaged in the act of slaughtering a cow within the premises.Upon the arrival of police, Mahammed escaped. The authorities confiscated beef, waste, and various items from the spot.
Police registered a case against the accused under sections 4, 7, and 12 of the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act.
