2 booked for misappropriation of goods stored in Thane godown | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: Police have filed a case against a man and his son who own a warehouse in Thane district. The case involves the alleged misappropriation of goods belonging to a trader stored in their facility.
The trader, who deals in rubber goods imported from various countries, used the accused’s warehouse for storage and paid rent for the space.
According to the complaint, between March and December 2023, various grades of synthetic rubber worth Rs 55,37,908 went missing from the warehouse in Bhiwandi.The complaint was made by the trader to the Narpoli police station.
Another trader, who also stored goods in the warehouse, alerted the complainant about missing stock on January 11, 2024. Upon inspection, the complainant discovered the rubber goods were missing.
The police have registered a case against the two accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal breach of trust and common intention.
