223 Caught Without Rly Tickets, ₹1.7l Fine Realised | Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: To ensure better services to passengers with safe, pleasant, and comfortable journey, the Prayagraj Division of NCR is running a special campaign to curb ticketless traveling.
In the same sequence, under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Prayagraj Division, Himasu Badoni, an intensive checking drive was conducted on Friday in Purushottam Express and Magadh Express between Kanpur Central and Prayagraj Junction by the special team.
In this campaign, divisional chief ticket inspector/Prayagraj, Diwakar Shukla, chief commercial inspector, headquarters, Prayagraj, Kamlesh Kumar along with RPF and GRP personnel worked together.
A total of 223 passengers traveling without tickets and on irregular tickets were charged and Rs 1,74,990 were recovered as fine. Out of these, Rs 42,700 were recovered from 48 passengers caught without tickets and Rs 1,32,290 was recovered from 175 passengers caught traveling without a proper ticket. Also, seven illegal vendors at Prayagraj Junction were caught and handed over to the RPF. tnn
