25K reward announced for arrest of criminal Kanpur | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: A reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced for arrest of history-sheeter Ajay Thakur who is absconding in the case of attack on a rally of Apna Dal (S) workers. The reward has been announced by deputy commissioner of police (South) Ravindra Kumar.
About a week ago, a bike rally of AD(S) was taken out in the Barra area of the city to welcome Naveen Srivastava, after he became the district president of the party for the third time.When the rally reached Jarauli Phase-I of Barra police station area, Ajay Thakur and his associates allegedly started pelting stones and bricks on AD(S) workers and injured them. Vehicles of some of the party workers were also damaged in the incident.
DCP (South) Ravindra Kumar said that, “With the help of electronic surveillance, we are trying to trace the location of the accused and his associates for further action,” DP added. tnn
