Ludhiana: Three MC employees were injured after being attacked by a few youths in a car at Piru Banda. MC worker Prem Jeet Singh said that his colleague Pradeep’s tractor grazed a car. He said that Pradeep was ready to pay fine but the youths assaulted him. Pradeep called another colleague, Pritpal Singh, who came with a few other employees. The accused and their accomplices allegedly attacked them with sharp-edged weapons.tnn

Guard injured in Imphal bomb attack dies
A 23-year-old village guard from Tumukhong village in Imphal East district, identified as Chingakham Lamyanba, died in hospital after being injured in a bomb attack. The incident was reported by K Sarojkumar Sharma. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, Lamyanba succumbed to his injuries at around 10.30 pm. Following his sacrifice for the motherland, Lamyanba’s father has decided to hand over his body to the people of Manipur. In response to the incident, Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced that a delegation will be sent to Delhi to discuss the matter with central leadership.
