Kanpur: A three-year-old girl, who was seriously injured in a fight with a 10-year-old boy in the city a few days ago, died during treatment on Saturday.
According to reports, the girl was playing outside her house on the afternoon of May 22, when a minor boy from the nearby locality reached there on a bicycle and took her with him to a vacant plot near a graveyard in the area. After this the boy allegedly committed obscene acts with the girl.
According to the police, a woman passerby saw them and reprimanded the boy. After the woman left, the boy threw the girl on the ground and ran away after brutally assaulting her. As a result, the girl received serious injuries to her abdomen and head. She was found lying face down in a pit by her family members the same evening. He then informed the local police and admitted the girl to the hospital. Doctors operated on the girl on Friday. However, he died on Saturday afternoon.
