Bathinda: Crop residue burning continues unabated as 368 cases were reported on Sunday, taking the count in the paddy harvesting season to 49,283. district Muktsar The maximum number of 101 burn cases were reported on Sunday.
As against 368 cases of burning on Sunday, these were 644 in the year 2020 and 283 in the year 2021. Moreover, against 49,283 burn cases in the ongoing season, these were 75,986 in the year 2020 and 70,711 in the year 2021.
Of the 49,283 cases, Sangrur has reported 5,237 burn cases, while Bathinda has reported 4,534 cases, followed by 4,257 burn cases. FerozepurMuktsar 3,698, Moga 3,561, Patiala 3,333, Tarn Taran 3,178, Barnala 2,902, 2,776 mansa2,714 inches Fazilka and 1,537 in Amritsar. The paddy harvesting season has come to an end after procurement of 182 lakh metric tonnes.
