4 martyred soldiers of Punjab merged in five elements: pregnant wife salutes her husband on her knees, son sacrifices for the country after father

The four jawans of Punjab, who were martyred in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch, were cremated with state honors on Saturday. People gathered in Ludhiana, Moga, Bathinda and Gurdaspur to pay their last respects to the jawans. The atmosphere was sad all around.

Martyr Jawan Harkrishna Singh of Gurdaspur was lit by his one and a half year old daughter. Pregnant wife Daljit Kaur bowed down on her knees and bid farewell to her husband. On the other hand, Martyr Lance Naik Kulwant Singh of Moga was lit by his 3-month-old son. Kulwant Singh’s father was also martyred in the Kargil war 24 years ago.

The last rites of Jawan Harkrishna Singh of Gurdaspur were performed. Harkrishna Singh, a resident of Talwandi Bharath village of Batala area, was lit by his one and a half year old daughter. On the other hand, pregnant wife Daljit Kaur bowed her head on her knees and bid farewell to her husband. Seeing all this, everyone’s eyes became moist.

Father martyred in Kargil, son sacrificed in Poonch
Martyr Lance Naik Kulwant Singh was given a final farewell with state honors at village Chadik in Moga on Saturday. Martyr Kulwant Singh was lit by his 3-month-old son. Kulwant’s father Baldev Singh was also martyred during the Kargil war.

Kulwant was one year old at that time. Kulwant got a job in his place in 2010. Kulwant was martyred 24 years after his martyrdom.

Martyr Mandeep Singh’s son said – I will also become a soldier
Martyr Mandeep Singh of Ludhiana was cremated with state honors on Saturday. People thronged his native village Channakoiya to pay homage to him. The daughter saluted him last. And son Karandeep Singh, 8, said that he wants to join the army like his father Mandeep Singh. He will also serve the country.

Last farewell to Martyr Sevak Singh, the only son of his parents
Martyr Sepoy Sevak Singh merged into Panchatatva on Saturday morning. Crowds gathered to bid him a final farewell. Martyr Sewak Singh was cremated at his native village Bagha at Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda district. He was the only son of the parents.
