45 More Schoolgirls Accuse Principal Of Sexual Assault In Hry | Chandigarh News – Times of India

CHANDIGARH: As many 45 more girl students have lodged a complaint of sexual assault against the principal of a government senior secondary school in Haryana’s Jind district, raising their number to 60.
The scale of the alleged sexual assault came to the fore during a hearing in the case by the Haryana State Commission for Women chairperson Renu Bhatia in Panchkula on Thursday.
“A total of 60 students have alleged sexual assault by the principal of the girls’ school. As many 50 are alleged to be victims and 10 others have corroborated their statements,” Bhatia said, adding that the commission was also pursuing allegations that two girls had committed suicide after they were sexually assaulted by the principal.
The schoolgirls have alleged that the principal installed black window glasses in his office and used to call any student to his office and indulge in obscene acts. A woman teacher was also allegedly involved, sending girls to the principal’s office, according to the complaint.
