Two Indian nationals carrying 45 pistols have been arrested at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. It is being investigated whether these pistols are genuine or not. The NSG, which is probing the matter, says that the pistol looks original. The arrested citizens have been identified as Jagjit Singh and Jaswinder Singh, they are husband and wife, officials said.

The couple had returned to India from Vietnam on July 10. At the airport, the team found two trolley bags with them suspicious. When the team stopped them and investigated, 45 pistols were found from the trolley bag. The cost of these pistols is said to be around 22 and a half lakhs.

Have already smuggled arms
The couple has admitted to smuggling 25 pistols worth more than Rs 12 lakh. He told that earlier 25 pistols have been brought to India from Turkey. Jagjit says that these pistols were given by his brother Manjit Singh. Further investigation is being done in the matter.
