Varanasi: The fifth batch of the Tamil delegates comprising farmers and artisans reached Varanasi to take part in the second edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 2.0) on Monday.
About 250 delegates of the batch were accorded a warm welcome on their arrival at Banaras railway station.They visited Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple to offer prayers and later went to the banks of the Ganga and worshipped the holy river.Thereafter, all the delegates reached Vishalakshi and Annapurna temples to offer prayers. They also took prasad of south Indian cuisine at Annapurna Bhavan.
On Tuesday, they took the holy dip in the Ganga at Hanuman Ghat and offered prayers at temples on the ghat. After bathing, the Tamil guests went to Subramanya Bharathi’s house and met the family members. The group also visited the library near Subramanya Bharati’s house and Kanchi Math.
