A 65-year-old man named Senthil was killed by an armed gang at his residence in Chhappani Kovil Street under South Gate police station limits on Tuesday evening. Senthil’s son-in-law Manimaran, 45, was injured in the gang attack and has been admitted to the government-run Rajaji Hospital. Police said the attack could have taken place due to a land dispute between the deceased and the accused at Thiruppachetty in Sivagangai district. South Gate Police is investigating.
