Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, a flood-like situation prevails in Junagadh. NDRF team carried out rescue operation in Moti Bagh area.

Four days after the landslide incident in Irshalwadi village of Raigad district of Maharashtra, 82 people are missing. On Saturday, fire brigade teams pulled out four more bodies from the debris. The death toll in the accident has gone up to 26.

The NDRF official said that the search and rescue mission will continue. Four teams of NDRF along with local teams are engaged in the operation.

At least 17 of the 48 villages here were completely or partially destroyed by a landslide in the hilltop village on Wednesday. Two helicopters of the Air Force were deployed to rescue 45 people trapped in the flood due to rain in Yavatmal district.

The water level of the Yamuna river in Delhi was hovering around the danger mark (205.33 metres) on Saturday. Meanwhile, many of those who had returned to their homes in the last two-three days after the water receded, have taken shelter back in relief camps on Saturday.

According to the officials, all the gates of ITO barrage are not fully open. Heavy rains in the northern region, excess water being released from Hathinikund Barrage into Yamuna and heavy rain alert from the Meteorological Department in Delhi are alarm bells for Delhi.

Due to the closure of some gates of ITO Barrage, the water is not moving fast in the river towards Okhla Barrage.
