XiaomiK’s sub-brand Redmi has launched a variant with 8GB of RAM. Redmi Note 12 5G last month. The smartphone is now all set to go on sale in India. Customers can buy the 8GB RAM variant of Redmi Note 12 5G from Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Store app, and authorized retail stores in the country.

The price of 8GB RAM variant of Redmi Note 12 5G is Rs 21,999. Customers can buy the smartphone in Frosted Green, Matte Black and Mystic Blue color options. As part of the launch offers, the company is offering Rs 1,000 off on ICICI Bank cards and Rs 1,500 exchange bonus. At the same time, the price of 4GB variant of the smartphone is Rs 17,999.

Like the Pro models in the lineup, the standard variant of the Redmi Note 12 5G series features a punch-hole display but is made out of plastic. The smartphone has been given an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance. Additionally, the Note 12 5G includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Redmi Note 12 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has a peak brightness of 1200 nits, a contrast ratio of 4500000:1, 4096-level dimming, and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, the Note 12 5G supports 5G connectivity and could come with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It also has the option of expandable storage via microSD card.
Redmi Note 12 5G runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12 and houses a 5000mAh battery. It comes with 33W charger.
For photography, the Redmi Note 12 5G sports a triple camera setup that houses a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, there is an 8MP camera for taking selfies.
