Aamir Khan, who is celebrating his birthday today, has sparked excitement among fans after he dropped a major hint about the much-anticipated sequel to the cult classic comedy Andaz Apna Apna. In a recent interaction on social media, Aamir Khan dropped a big clue, revealing that renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is actively working on the sequel.
During the Live interaction session, Aamir Khan interacted with the fans and the audience and made a big reveal. The superstar hinted that the iconic comedy entertainer ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is coming with the sequel ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’. Sharing the hint, Aamir Khan said, “Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is working on the script of ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.” However, Aamir Khan also added that it is in the beginning stages and also too early to get excited about.
Back in 1994, Andaz Apna Apna took the audience by storm. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Vinay Kumar Sinha, the movie featured an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal (in a dual role), and Shakti Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is having a busy birthday as he is working on his next release ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. He has confirmed also that the film Sitaare Zameen Par will be released on Christmas this year. This would mark his first Christmas release in eight years.
Speaking with TV9 during their conclave, Aamir confirmed that Sitaare Zameen Par will be a Christmas release. “My next film as a lead actor, which has just begun filming, is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun,” he said.
Sitaare Zameen Par also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead. This marks Genelia and Aamir’s first film together. Moreover, Aamir Khan as a producer recently delivered Laapataa Ladies directed by Kiran Rao. The film is made under his production banner, Aamir Khan Productions and is receiving heaps of praise from the audience and the critics.
