There is no doubt that fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel to Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s highly acclaimed 2018 horror-comedy, Stree. The first part of the comedy-drama left the audience with many unanswered questions, and there has been quite a buzz about the second instalment. Now, it seems like the actors in the film are leaving no stone unturned to pique the interest of movie buffs and drop some hints about the highly anticipated movie.
Earlier, actor Pankaj Tripathi shared a significant update on his Instagram AMA session, and now Abhishek Banerjee has dropped a hint about the highly anticipated movie. While speaking with an entertainment news portal, Abhishek Banerjee revealed some major updates about the sequel to the horror comedy.
During an interview with the Times of India, actor Abhishek Banerjee spoke about the most-awaited sequel, Stree 2, and shared that for him, shooting for the second part was more about nostalgia. He expressed, “Stree 2 is also going to be bigger and double the fun. All the actors are deeply immersed in their characters. I had a lot of fun with Apar (Aparshakti Khurana) and Shraddha Kapoor. It was a reunion of sorts. I was telling my co-actors that, for me, it was more of a sense of nostalgia as we landed up in the galiyas of Chanderi. It was my first film as an actor in a prominent role, and first times are always special.”
The actor also spilt some beans during the interview and dropped some major updates regarding the film. He revealed that they are now working on the post-production of the film. But the VFX will take a long time as the film’s director, Amar Kaushik, is a perfectionist who works on the film until he isn’t happy about it.

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, the film turned out to be a massive hit and was well-received by movie buffs.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Banerjee has a series of films in the pipeline. Apart from Stree 2, he is roped in for Pooja Meri Jaan alongside Mrunal Thakur, Huma Qureshi, and Vijay Raaz. He also has Aditya Nimbalkar’s directorial Sector 36 on his plate. The film stars Vikrant Massey, Deepak Dobriyal, and Darshan Jariwala in key roles.
