Senior Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee is running a public relations campaign ‘Trinamool-Eh Nabjowar’ (New Wave in Trinamool) from April 25.

Senior Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee has decided to form a committee of party leaders to look into public grievances and issues during his ongoing public relations campaign.

TMC national general secretary Banerjee has been running a public relations campaign ‘Trinamool-Eh Nabjowar’ (New wave in Trinamool) since April 25, traveling across the state, meeting people, listening to their problems.

“At the Durgapur convention camp (last night) Abhishek Banerjee held a review meeting on the issues and concerns of the people he is getting on the status and pending issues during the yatra. Looking at the nature of work, he has asked to follow up on the matter and resolve it at the earliest,” said a senior TMC leader.

During the meeting, Banerjee had said that a team of leaders would be formed which would personally visit the ground to monitor the status of pending issues.

Banerjee started the campaign in Cooch Behar district on April 25 and has covered a distance of over 2,000 km in eight districts so far.

His campaign will end in the third week of June at Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas district. He had said that the campaign would empower people to choose their own candidates through secret ballot, whom the party would nominate in the panchayat elections.
