Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush hits the theaters on June 16.

Earlier, Siya Ke Ram fame Karan Suchak and Arun Govil aka Ram of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana also slammed the makers of Adipurush.

Ever since the time Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush hit the theatres, many have expressed their disappointment with it. While the makers of the film are already facing backlash, actor Vikram Mastal has also questioned them for their representation of Ramayan. Vikram went on to play the role of Hanuman in the 2008 television show Ramayan, played by Anand Sagar.

In a recent interview, Vikram criticized Adipurush director Om Raut and co-writer Manoj Muntashir. He accused him of making this film only for financial gain.

“I strongly condemn the language used in the film. I just need to know what message the makers of the film wanted to convey with the language used. What inspired you to make this film? Are you only concerned about making money? If you have made this film keeping in mind the common people and they don’t like them, why can’t you remove the dialogues? What’s the issue? Why do you want to show what is wrong with the film?” Vikram was quoted as saying by ANI.

“The plot of this film is based on Ramayana. We respect Sita and Lord Rama. We worship him. How are these conversations and interactions appropriate for this film?” the actor added.

Earlier, Karan Suchak, who played the role of Laxman in the television show Siya Ke Ram, also urged everyone to avoid watching Adipurush. Before him, Arun Govil aka Ram of Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan also took a dig at the makers of Adipurush and called the Prabhas starrer a ‘Hollywood cartoon’. “What was wrong with the portrayal we all know and love for so many years? What was the need to change things? Maybe the team doesn’t have proper faith in Lord Ram and Sita, and that’s why they have made these changes,” he told ABP News.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is an adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays Raghav, Kriti plays Janki, and Lankesh’s Saif, Sunny Singh as Shesh and Devdutt Nag as Bajrang.
