Amid slogans of “Na suraksha, na pension hai, Agnipath ek tension hai (No security, no pension, Agnipath is tension)” and “Agnipath ek jhansa hai, yuvaon ko fansa hai (Agnipath is a fraud on the youth)”, Congress also demanded that the scheme be revoked.
Rawat, who was among other speakers at the protest, said joining the Indian Army was not just a job but a tradition in his home state and added that each regiment of the armed forces has a history of valor that the government wants to destroy.
