Leading telecom company Bharti Airtel on Friday launched its 5G services in Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur. The company said in a statement that its 5G services are already live in Kochi. Airtel 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as the company continues to build out its network and complete the roll-out.
Airtel said that its customers equipped with the fifth generation mobile system (5G) will be able to enjoy higher speeds airtel 5g plus network at no additional cost until roll-out becomes more widespread. The company will expand its network over time by providing its services at many more locations in these cities.
Amit Gupta, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Airtel-Kerala said, “I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Kozhikode, Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram) and Thrissur, apart from Kochi. Airtel customers in these four cities can now experience ultrafast can .Enjoy speeds 20-30 times faster than the current network and 4G Speed.”
Gupta said the company is in the process of lighting up the entire city, which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to high-definition video-streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and much more.
Airtel’s 5G services in Thiruvananthapuram will be available in Vajuthakkad, Thampanoor, East Fort, Palayam, Pattam, Kazhakoottam, Vattiyoorkavu, Pappanamcode, Kovalam, Vizhinjam and Valiyavila.
In Kozhikode, Airtel customers in Nadakkave, Palayam, Kallai, West Hill, Kuttichira, Eranipalem, Meenchanda, Thondaday, Malaparamaba, Elathur and Kunnamangalam now have access to 5G services.
Airtel’s 5G services are available to residents of Ramavarmapuram, Thrissur Round, East Fort, Kurkenchery, Olarikara, Olur, Mannuthi and Nadathara in Thrissur district.
