The lone Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA from Dakha constituency Manpreet Ayali has cleared that he is Akali from his heart and till last he will remain attached with SAD, in order to end the ongoing speculations about him joining the ruling party, on Monday.
Ayali who had distanced himself from all party activities due to certain issues with senior party leadership came on social media and posted for his supporters and voters that they should refrain from believing the rumour mongers.
Ayali cleared his stand that he would remain with Akali Dal despite any differences. He said, “Now I am not in race of higher posts or tickets from the party rather I want to work for the betterment of the society as well as strengthen the party.” He said he has conveyed his message to the senior leadership also that he does not want any designated in the party rather he only wants to lift party to again that level in Punjab where it was some years ago.
Notably, Manpreet Ayali is the only MLA who stood against the tide of Aam Aadmi party as from Ludhiana assembly seats out of 14, 13 are with AAP. Ayali had also won the bypoll elections of Dakha constituency during congress regime.
