Alia Bhatt, who will next be seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh, spoke about her brand Add-e-Mamma during an event in Delhi.
Alia Bhatt is not only a successful actress but has also established herself as an entrepreneur. She founded Add-e-Mamma, a sustainable clothing line for children, in October 2022, just before the birth of her daughter Raha. The inspiration behind this venture came from Alia’s experience during her pregnancy where she faced difficulties in finding stylish clothes for babies in India. She then launched Ed-a-Mamma, a brand that brings together two of her passions: the good of the planet and the celebration of children.
Today at an event in Delhi, the actress opened up about the idea of the brand. She said, “During my pregnancy, I was very nervous about what my style would be like in the next few months. So, I started making slight changes in my wardrobe and then came the maternity collection. I didn’t expect it – I didn’t even plan for it. And then, later came the baby clothes and all that. So, we now have a collection for 0-14 years and I plan to grow further which includes personal care, sustainable diapers, sustainable toys and of course storytelling at the center of it, that too coming soon.
Alia shared that as a mother, one of the most precious moments for her is when she reads a book or sings to her daughter Raha. Although his initial dream did not include creating an Ad-A-Mamma universe, it has now become his plan. “I know that as a mother today, one of the most precious things I do is when I read a book to my daughter or sing a song to her. Although it wasn’t my dream to create an Ad-e-Mamma universe in the beginning, that’s what I plan to do now. I want people to feel connected to nature, your planet and celebrate their inner child.”
Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Rocky Aur Rani’s Love Story opposite Ranveer Singh. The film, which also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi, is slated to release this month.
