But it was learned that Alia Bhatt had to cancel her trip to Abu Dhabi due to her maternal grandfather being admitted in the ICU in a critical condition.
According to several reports, the condition of Alia Bhatt’s maternal grandfather Narendra Razdan at Breach Candy Hospital remains critical. However, Mr. Razdan was earlier admitted to the same hospital after a lung infection. Due to the severe infection, the doctors had made up their mind to shift Mr. Razdan to the ICU, but later decided against it. Instead, they made arrangements within the room to make Mr. Razdan comfortable.
According to Times of India, Alia Bhatt had just reached the airport when she changed her plan and decided to go to the hospital. The source shared with the portal, “Mr. Narendra Razdan is Soni Razdan’s father and Alia’s grandfather. He has been in Breach Candy Hospital for a long time. He had a lung infection which worsened. In the morning the family got a call that the doctors wanted to shift him to the ICU. It was decided not to take him to the ICU, but to make him comfortable inside the room. He is 95 years old and now he is in sunset time. Alia returned from the airport as she did not want to go to the award ceremony, while her grandfather was going through a very vulnerable time.”
On the work front, Alia is all set to make her Hollywood debut with Gal Gadot starrer Heart of Stone. The actress also has Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani love story in the pipeline with her friend and actor Ranveer Singh.
