Is Allu Arjun going to wear ponytail in his upcoming film Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa: The Rise? The question has cropped up after the actor was seen flaunting a pony at Deejay Raju’s daughter Ishika’s birthday party on Thursday evening. The Telugu superstar was seen with his wife Allu Sneha Reddy at the star-studded bash. Arjun kept his look simple – a black shirt and a pair of pants while his hair was tied in a ponytail.
The simplicity won us over but it also made us wonder if this was her look for Pushpa 2. The actor has been growing his hair out for a while now. Last month, when he visited Russia for the release of Pushpa in the country, he was also seen sporting a ponytail.
Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rise was slated to release in December 2021 and depicts the rise of a coolie in a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. The film was produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media. The film not only did well in Telugu circles, but it also outgrossed some Hindi films as well as the Hindi-dubbed. The film collected over Rs 250 crore.
Meanwhile, Pushpa: The Rule has also been making headlines for a long time now. Earlier the producer of the film Y Ravi Shankar had shared that Pushpa 2 will release in India And Russia on the same day. “Absolutely (it will happen). As we move forward in the process, some more countries will also be included. (However, the first one to be finalised) is Russia,” he told Pinkvilla.
According to siastat.com, rumors are also rife that the team has approached Sai Pallavi to play Allu Arjun’s sister in Pushpa: The Rule. Reports suggest that if Sai Pallavi gives her consent for the story, director Sukumar is ready to take her on board.
