Reliance Jio New laptop may launch this month, according to tipster Abhishek Yadav, a teaser of the upcoming JioBook laptop has surfaced on the e-commerce site Amazon Its launch date has been revealed. Teased with the tagline ‘Your Ultimate Learning Partner’, the all-new JioBook laptop will launch on July 31.
The upcoming device could be an updated version of the JioBook that was launched last October. 2022 geobook was launched in India at a price less than 20,000. It was available only through Reliance Digital Store.
The Amazon teaser provides few details about the new JioBook. Its design is expected to be similar to the laptop announced in October, with a compact form factor and stylish blue colour. Amazon claims that the JioBook has been designed to meet the productivity, entertainment and gaming needs of users of all ages. It will support 4G connectivity and be equipped with a powerful octa-core processor capable of handling high-definition video streaming, multitasking, and multiple software applications.
According to the teaser, the new Jio laptop will be remarkably light, weighing around 990 grams. As per Amazon’s claims, it is tuned to deliver all-day battery life. However, further specifications and features are yet to be revealed and will most likely be unveiled during the official launch event on July 31.
To recall, the 2022 JioBook was aimed at budget-conscious consumers who wanted a laptop for basic tasks like browsing and education. Launched in October, the JioBook comes with an 11.6-inch HD display with wide bezels and a 2-megapixel front camera for video calls. It was powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, paired with the Adreno 610 GPU, and had 2GB of RAM, which should limit smooth multitasking. In terms of storage, it offered 32GB of eMMC storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. The Jio Laptop runs on JioOS, which was optimized for smooth performance, and also includes JioStore for installing third-party apps.
The device featured a 5,000mAh battery that promised up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge, and had passive cooling support to manage heat. Connectivity options include 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI mini, Wi-Fi, and more. Notably, the laptop came with an embedded Jio SIM card, which enabled users to access Jio 4G LTE connectivity.
