It was not immediately clear what transpired in the meeting which comes against the backdrop of BJP’s preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and state assembly polls.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here on Wednesday in the presence of BJP chief JP Nadda.

Sources said the party’s Haryana in-charge Biplab Kumar Deb also attended the meeting.

It was not immediately clear what transpired at the meeting which comes against the backdrop of BJP’s preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and state assembly polls.

The BJP and the JJP entered into a post-poll alliance after the 2019 assembly elections to form the government in Haryana.

The BJP, which currently has 41 MLAs after winning the Adampur bypoll last year, secured 40 seats in the 90-member House, while the JJP won 10.

The BJP had won all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 parliamentary elections.
