Union Home Minister Amit Shah will come to Guwahati on Thursday. He will lay the foundation stone of the National Forensic Science University here at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Shah Kamrup district. Along with this, the temporary campus of the university will be started. This campus will be in Guwahati Medical College. Apart from this, appointment letters for jobs will be distributed to 45 thousand youth.
Tight security arrangements have been made in Guwahati ahead of Shah’s visit. On Wednesday, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reviewed the preparations for the tour. Sarma said that now we are starting the University Campus Medical College. Later it will be shifted to the campus to be built in Kamrup.
The foundation stone of the National Forensic Science University is to be laid at Shrimant Sankardev Kalakshetra.
An app will also be released for the police
The CM informed that the state government will also release an app for the Assam Police. In this app, FIR of some crimes like violence against women, murder etc. can be registered electronically. One can even get an FIR lodged digitally from the comfort of one’s home. We are going to do this for the first time. This will be a very important milestone in our policing.
Unemployed will get government job letters
He said that in the evening the main function would be held at the Veterinary College ground. Where Home Minister Shah will give appointment letters to 45 thousand unemployed youths. All these youths have been selected on the basis of merit through a process. Everyone will get Assam government job. Earlier, we had issued appointment letters to about 42 thousand youths. That is, we have given government jobs to about 88 thousand people.
In the month of July, we are going to start the interview process for more 22 thousand government jobs. We have promised 1 lakh jobs. This program is being done under this promise of the Government of Assam.
