Wrestlers protesting against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh have met Home Minister Amit Shah. According to information received from sources, this meeting lasted for about one and a half hours at Amit Shah’s residence. According to media reports, the two sides met at around 11 pm on Saturday night. Amit Shah has met the wrestlers when the Khap Panchayats have given an ultimatum to the Center till June 9.

According to media reports, the wrestlers have demanded the arrest of former WFI president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh from Amit Shah. After this, the Home Minister assured a complete investigation without any discrimination against the wrestlers. According to sources, it was the wrestlers who had asked for an appointment with Amit Shah. Amit Shah said that the law will take its own course in this matter. The Police is investigating. He also asked the wrestlers whether the police should not be given time to do their work.

On Sunday, Olympian Sakshi Malik’s mother Sudesh Malik claimed in a conversation with Amar Ujala that Sakshi, Vinesh and Bajrang met Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday night. In the meeting of about one to one and a half hours, the Home Minister asked the three players to act sensibly instead of enthusiasm.

Sudesh Malik told that Shah, while convincing the wrestlers to end the agitation, said that no action would be taken against any player. During the meeting, the wrestlers insisted on the arrest of Brij Bhushan. To this Shah said, any action will be taken under the legal process.

After this, Bajrang Poonia reached Mundlana Panchayat located in Sonepat on Sunday and called that no decision should be taken today. He said that soon a big panchayat would be convened by bringing all the organizations on one platform. A decision will be taken in this regard in three-four days. Then everyone will be informed about the place and time of the Panchayat. The next decision will be taken in this panchayat.
