CM Shivraj Singh reached the venue and informed the people about the cancellation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit. He said that Amit Shah had left from Durg. Due to rain and bad weather on the way, he had to return midway and go towards Raipur. Amit Shah will come among us sometime again.

Amit Shah was scheduled to stay in Balaghat for about 2 hours. He was about to address the public meeting after the roadshow for about 15 minutes. After the meeting, Shah had a program to visit Siddha ancient Hanuman temple at 5.25 pm. After this, he was about to leave for Nagpur by helicopter at 6 pm.

Naxalite affected area so security everywhere

Strict security arrangements have been made by the police in view of Amit Shah’s visit. Balaghat SP Sameer Saurabh said that this is a Naxalite affected district. We have taken many major actions against Naxalites recently. Keeping this in mind, the entire administration and the police department are especially alert. Security arrangements have been made at every step. Monitoring is being done by drone. The general search was started a week in advance. Police force of 8 districts will be deployed from the venue to the route of the road show. About one thousand jawans have been put on duty.

Modi will participate in the concluding program of Gaurav Yatra

Union minister Faggan Singh Kulaste will be in charge of Gaurav Yatra from Balaghat to Shahdol. The yatra will begin with tribal traditional dance and cultural presentation. The first stop of this journey will be outside. Cultural programs based on the heroic tales of Rani Durgavati will be presented here at night.

After night halt at Baihar, the Gaurav Yatra will leave for Garhi on June 23 at 9 am. The yatra will reach Shahdol on June 27 via Garhi to Bichhiya in Mandla district. Here Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conclude the yatra as the chief guest.
