At Comic Con, Amitabh Bachchan opened up about not being physically present for the unveiling of the first look of Kalki 2898 AD.

Amitabh Bachchan is a part of Nag Ashwin’s magnum opus Kalki 2898 AD, the exciting teaser of which was unveiled earlier at the San Diego Comic-Con. The film, also starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and others, is considered to be one of the costliest films ever made in India. So, attending Comic Con was a big achievement for the whole world as it became the first Indian film to be there.

Now the actor has explained in his blog why he could not be physically present for the same.

Penting down his thoughts on Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan expressed in his blog, “Okay.”

The Brahmastra actor further added, “And finally the reveal of K.. Kalki is so mythologically important.. 2898 AD.!! AD has been changed isn’t it? Yes.. AD, which I think was ‘Anno Domini’, meaning ‘in the year of God’.. was changed to CE – Common Era.. and BC became BCE – Before Common Era! Why so.. don’t know.. it was before and after the birth of Christ was related, so.. but, each region of the world has its own year and month and they are named according to their calculated calendar.

Creating history, Project K becomes the first Indian film to debut at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) in 2023. Prior to the event, a billboard for Project K in Times Square, New York City carried the message to onlookers, “First look July 20.”

Earlier, the first look of Prabhas was revealed. In the poster, Prabhas, who is said to be the ‘rebel star’ of the film, sports a metal armour, goatee and a bushy beard. This science-fiction fantasy thriller is slated to release in January next year. Apart from Prabhas and Rann Daggubati, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Nag Ashwin participated in the panel discussion.
