Andhra Pradesh has become hub of corruption, lawlessness under YSRCP rule: Amit Shah at Vizag meeting | Visakhapatnam News – Times of India

VISAKHAPATNAM: Andhra Pradesh Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in a public meeting in Visakhapatnam on Sunday that it has become a den of corruption and anarchy.
The former BJP president alleged that in four years, nothing happened except scams and anarchy. Andhra Pradesh is ruled by YSRCP,
A day after BJP national president JP Nadda called the YSRCP ‘one of the most corrupt governments’ in Srikalahasti on Saturday, Shah continued his scathing attack on the YSRCP on Sunday.
Referring to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as ‘Jagan Babu’, Amit Shah said Andhra Pradesh ranks third in the country in terms of the number of farmer suicides.
“But it is ironic to see that Jagan Babu claims Andhra Pradesh as a farmer welfare state under his rule. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, an annual financial assistance amount of Rs 6000 is deposited in the accounts of the farmers. But Jagan Babu is cheating the farmers by rebranding the same scheme as ‘Rytu Bharosa’ in Andhra Pradesh.
“He also puts his own sticker on the rice being supplied to the poor by the central government. Anti-social elements like land mafia, mining mafia and even drug mafia have made Visakhapatnam their hub and are looting the public,” alleged Amit Shah.
“During the UPA regime between 2009 and 2014, Andhra Pradesh received Rs 78,000 crore in the form of grants-in-aid and tax devolution. The allocation has increased manifold in the last 9 years, with the state receiving funding of around Rs 10 lakh crore from the Centre. The length of National Highways in Andhra Pradesh has increased from 4,000 km to 9,000 km in the last 9 years. The BJP government is spending Rs 3 lakh crore on National Highway projects in Andhra Pradesh. Rs 85,000 crore is being spent on infrastructure development under Sagarmala.
The Union Home Minister listed out the projects sanctioned to Andhra Pradesh during the BJP rule in the last 9 years, including Central Educational Institutes, Smart City Project being implemented in four cities of the State, Bhogapuram Airport, Logistics Park at Anantapur in Vizag , Bulk included. Drug Park at Kakinada, Airport Projects at Kurnool and Cuddapah etc.
“I request the people of Andhra Pradesh to ensure BJP wins 20 Lok Sabha seats in the state to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time with more than 300 Lok Sabha seats. India now attracts the attention of the world and global prestige. Honor and respect not only to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but to each and every one of the 140 crore Indians,” Amit Shah said.
BJP national general secretary Daggubati Purandeshwari said the YSRCP has turned Andhra Pradesh into a state of economic ruin and debt.
Purandeshwari said, “YSRCP, which touts all the schemes of the central government as its own schemes, has no moral ground to make objectionable remarks against BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda.”
BJP Andhra Pradesh President Somu Veeraraju alleged corruption on all fronts in Andhra Pradesh from liquor and sand to land grab and mining.
BJP in-charge of Andhra Pradesh and Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, BJP co-incharge of Andhra Pradesh Sunil Deodhar, BJP national secretary Satya Kumar, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao and Chief Minister Ramesh, BJP leaders at the meeting PVN Madhav and Vishnu Kumar Raju and others were present.
