Android 14 allows partial screen recording: Here’s what it means – Times of India

Google Recently Google unveiled the new version of its Android operating system at I/O 2023. The company showcased some of its features android 14 And also announced Android 14 beta for Pixel phones. Expected to launch in the second half of the year, Android 14 is said to come with major improvements and enhancements. It is expected that Google may release a stable version of the operating system in August. However, ahead of the stable launch a new report has surfaced online revealing interesting upcoming features of Android 14.

A series of tweets by Mishaal Rahman suggests that Android 14 will come with partial screen recording functionality. This feature will enable users to record a single app. Users will get any system notification and even the status bar will be hidden while recording. However, users will also have the option to record the entire screen. When recording the full screen, the contents of system notifications and status bar will be visible.
As per reports, the partial screen recording feature enables users to select from a list of apps by swiping up on the app selector dialog. Users will also be allowed to select from the last three apps by swiping left and right from the main screen.
The leak also suggests that users will have to manually end the process of screen recording. If the user leaves the app while recording, the recording process will continue but all recorded content will appear black. After reopening the app, the content will continue recording to the same file. It is reported that users will have to swipe down and end the partial screen recording feature in order to stop recording.
