‘Animal’ director Sandeep Vanga slams critics who criticised his films; calls them ‘illiterate and uneducated’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ has taken the box office by storm. But, Ranbir Kapoor starrer has also faced criticism for being sexist and purporting toxic masculinity. Now, the director has called critics criticising his films for toxicity as ‘illiterate, uneducated’.
In an interview with Connect FM Cannada, Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared that if a person goes to his balcony and shouts that one should not watch Vanga’s films, he would have more credibility than critics who criticise his films.
According to him, if someone is making money, fame, name, and everything by criticising his film, then he will allow to do so. That’s what happened with most of the critics during ‘Kabir Singh‘.
The filmmaker explained that their shot to fame was criticising ‘Kabir Singh’. Nobody speaks about the craft, the editing, or sound design, because they are literally illiterate, and uneducated when it comes to films. They have no sense of how to criticise the film or review the film.

Elaborating further, the filmmaker added that he understood their mental status and their IQ. He said that if morality comes into the picture, then one can’t make such a film. According to him, if everybody is going to focus just on morality, then we should stop making films and he stressed on making more cartoons instead. The filmmaker also claimed that he feels targeted, but it does not matter since his films earn money.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Siddhanth Karnik, amongst others in pivotal roles.
