Animal Park: Sandeep Reddy Vanga To Begin Ranbir Kapoor’s Film in 2026 – News18

After the humongous success of Animal, there was an official announcement of the film’s sequel Animal Park. Buzz is that, filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga will begin working on the film in 2026. Reportedly, Vanga who’s currently working on the much-awaited cop-based action thriller, Spirit plans to take the film on floors by December 2024, post which he’ll begin work on the Ranbir Kapoor starrer.

A source close to the production house, informed Pinkvilla, that Sandeep is extremely ‘excited’ to commence shooting for Animal Park after Spirit. “In fact, Sandeep has already started working on the script of Animal Park. He has got the basic arc of the story in place and a lot of key characters from Animal will be a part of Animal Park too. While Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri will be back to play their respective parts, Upendra Limaye too has a strong track in Animal Park. The journeys of all characters for the sequel are on paper and it’s now about bringing all of it together via the screenplay. Many new actors will join the cast too.”

The source further added, “If everything goes as planned, Ranbir will complete shooting for Ramayana 1 & 2, as well as Love and War before moving on to Animal Park.”

Sandeep Vanga and Bhushan Kumar have joined forces to bring forth the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster movie Animal. Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film shows Vijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father (played by Anil Kapoor). However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father. His unhealthy relationship with his father also impacts his bond with his wife, essayed by Rashmika Mandanna. Bobby played a cold-blooded antagonist in Animal who challenges Ranbir Kapoor’s character.

Animal released on December 1. The film minted over Rs 1000 crores at the box office.
