Anurag Kashyap is at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of his film Kennedy. The filmmaker revealed this before the premiere Chian Vikram was his original choice for the film and the title of the film is Kennedy Actor’s surname.
In an interview before the film’s screening, Anurag revealed that the film was titled The Kennedy Project. He revealed that he first reached out to Chien Vikram for the lead role but he never responded. The filmmaker then asked Rahul Bhatt to read the script, who was very excited about it. Anurag immediately offered her the cast saying, “You have to give it your all.”
Kennedy has been selected for the midnight screening at Cannes Film Festival 2023. Helmed by Anurag, Kennedy also stars Sunny Leone and Abhilash Thapliyal. The film revolves around an insomniac ex-cop, long thought dead, but still on a quest for redemption.
